Your first hour

What to expect in your first class

Every class runs the same honest hour. Here's the play by play, so nothing is a surprise.
  1. A coach in a cap pointing across the floor as he briefs the seated class, barbells racked behind him01

    Whiteboard brief

Your coach walks the whole class through the day's workout: what we're doing and, more importantly, why.

  2. A coach adjusting a member's grip on an empty barbell while two other members watch02

    Coach-led warm-up

A guided warm-up that preps exactly what the workout demands. No wandering around wondering what to do.

  3. A member on hands and knees mid-workout grinning at a small girl doing the same movement beside her03

    The workout, scaled to you

Everyone does the same workout at a weight, pace, and movement version that fits them.

  4. A big group of members and two dogs posing with fists in the air outside the gym's open bay door04

    Cool-down and community

Log your score, catch your breath, and celebrate the work with everyone who just did it next to you.

Good questions

Before you ask

What should I bring?

Clean workout attire you're comfortable sweating in, athletic shoes, and water. There's a cooler for refills and bottles for sale in the lobby if you forget. You'll see members with jump ropes, lifting shoes, grips, belts, and knee sleeves. None of it is required, and you'll get plenty fit in sneakers and shorts. If you do invest in one thing, make it your own jump rope. Once you build consistency a coach can help point you toward helpful gear.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your class begins. Be present for the coach's brief - this is where we explain the workout, warm up, and set you up for success.

How fast will I see results?

Honest answer: if you're new to training, even just 2-3 times a week is a great starting point to ensure you're not overdoing it, and you'll see results in a month, likely starting to FEEL better long before. After that, 4 to 6 times a week is the sweet spot where you'll notice real changes in your body and fitness. There are no shortcuts to the results you seek, and we want you training. You're investing in yourself, so make it count.

The on-ramp

Ready when you are

Tell us a little about you: brand new, coming back, or somewhere in between. That's the whole ask. We'll take it from there.
